Tequila Sunrise Freezer Pops

Enjoy the sunrise with this refreshing, boozy popsicle based on its cocktail counterpart. Colorful and easy to transport, this freezer pop gets its iconic gradient from a simple technique using grenadine.

Ingredients

Directions

Add a maraschino cherry to each freezer pop bag and shake the bag to migrate the cherry to the very bottom.

Place a freezer pop bag in a clean, tall drinking glass. In a measuring cup, stir together orange juice, tequila, orange extract and vanilla extract. Place a funnel into the top of the bag and pour in the mixture to no higher than the fill line. Stir the mixture in the cup between filling each bag to evenly distribute the tequila for better freezing.

Using the funnel, pour 3/4 teaspoons grenadine into each bag to create a color gradient.

Freeze the pops upright until fully frozen to retain the color and prevent seepage.
