4 sticks margarine 32 tablespoons32 tablespoons
1/2 cup105 g shortening
3 cups600 g sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons1 1/2 teaspoons Nielsen-Massey Madagascar Bourbon Pure Vanilla Extract
1/2 teaspoon1/2 teaspoon Nielsen-Massey Pure Almond Extract
5 large eggs
3 1/2 cups440 g sifted flour (either White Lily plain or cake flour)
1/2 teaspoon1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup240 ml milk

Cream margarine, shortening and sugar until very light and fluffy (at least 15 minutes on your mixer). Add flavorings. Add eggs one at a time and beat well. Add alternately the measured flour and baking powder with milk, beginning and ending with flour. Bake in an angel tube pan (we suggest putting wax paper on bottom) for 1 1/2 hours in preheated 325 degrees F160 degrees C oven.
