Position: Finance Manager – US

Reports to: Global Senior Commercial Finance & FPA Director

Location: Remote Capable/Waukegan, Illinois, about 40 miles north of Chicago’s Loop

 

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented professional to join our growing Finance Team.

The Finance Manager will work closely with the Senior Finance Director and cross-functional management team to develop analysis, improve the forecasting process, and establish reporting to support monthly business reviews.  This position will be responsible for leading volume/revenue forecasting, offering insights into the company’s performance, identifying risks and opportunities, as well as supporting margin/pricing analysis and special projects.  The role will coordinate with cross-functional partners to ensure alignment on the business drivers and assumptions used to develop the monthly outlooks, quarterly forecasts, and annual plan.

The Finance Manager reports to the Senior Finance Director and has no direct reports, but regularly collaborates with members of Sales, Operations, Finance, Accounting, and Marketing.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the monthly volume and revenue forecasting process, working closely with Sales and Operations to develop activity-based forecast assumptions by product line for key customers.
  • Manage and improve the Excel revenue forecasting model, ensure data integrity, and provide both summary reporting and visibility to the raw data assumptions by month, channel, customer, and SKU.
  • Support Senior Finance Director in consolidating a multi-channel Bridge analysis of revenue results vs. prior year, plan, and forecast through conducting price-volume-mix analysis for key customers/products, analyzing shipment vs. consumption trends, determining if variances are timing or permanent, and reporting on one-time items/gains/losses.
  • Partner with Sales Channel leads to track revenue opportunities/risks not in forecast and summarize the potential impact to forecast.
  • Finance lead supporting the development, evaluation, and accountability of annual volume plans and growth targets for Key accounts.
  • Manage the integration efforts for the international division across volume and revenue forecasting.
  • Assists Senior Finance Director in margin/pricing analysis and special projects as required.
  • Ensures all financial reports and analyses are prepared in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

 

Knowledge and Characteristics:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a quantitative/technical discipline with 4+ years of experience.

Global Research and Development Director - US

OPPORTUNITY

Position: Global Research and Development Director – US

Reports to: Global VP of Innovation, Quality and Compliance

Location: Waukegan, Illinois, about 40 miles north of Chicago’s Loop

 

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for establishing and leading a global research and development team in Waukegan, IL USA. The Global Research and Development Director will provide technical leadership for the organization and serve as a technical business partner and expert to all cross-functional teams. They will help drive and accelerate our product offerings by executing global and regional strategic technical initiatives in alignment with our long-range and annual operating plans.

 

Key Responsibilities:  Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Reports directly to the Global Vice President of Innovation, Quality, and Compliance
  • Develops and leads the new NMV R&D Team
  • Serves as the internal champion for all Research projects, including initiative-taking and breakthrough technology projects.
  • Enables, executes, and communicates the strategies supporting the NMV Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and the evolving Long-Range Plan (LRP).
  • Champions and owns NMV food science, product application, and sensory capabilities. Ensures consistent integration and application of consumer insights, culinary and sensory capabilities into R&D processes and best practices.
  • Acts as a role model for NMV Values and Quality Absolutes. Shapes future positive behaviors and culture through listening and acting with integrity, curiosity, and compassion.
  • Communicates all relevant matters pertaining to R&D; encompassing all projects, activities and the commercialization of all products developed. Key partner in managing all proper elements of the NMV Stage Gate process.
  • Leverages technology platforms to drive R&D process efficiency, metrics visibility and data analytics across Stage Gate, Product Lifecycle Management, and internal technical data.

  • Oversees the NMV R&D Organization Plan, Performance Appraisal Process and Performance Rating System.
  • Leads, implements, and follows all security policies; responsible for maintaining and enhancing the security of all information regarding product formulas and related confidential information.

Planning Manager - US

OPPORTUNITY

Position: Planning Manager

Reports to: Vice President of Supply Chain and Operations

Location: Waukegan, Illinois, about 40 miles north of Chicago’s Loop

 

Position Summary:

The planning manager provides strategic and tactical leadership for the planning activities within the supply chain based on demand requirements. Owns Supply Chain Planning activities to maintain required product availability to meet strategic and financial needs of NMV/NMVI whether manufactured within NMV/NMVI or at Third Party manufacturers. Drives continuous improvement culture and initiatives, lead and participate in improvement initiatives and projects.

The Manager is responsible for all aspects of Supply Chain planning; Demand planning, Capacity planning and Production/ line scheduling.

The Planning Manager will be a working manager with 1 direct report.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Demand Planning

    • Review and maintain supply chain statistical forecast models at the item, region, and aggregate level within assigned categories.
    • Utilize demand planning tools and software to review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, tune forecast models and evaluate forecast results.
    • Collaborate and utilize “like item” demand history to develop new item forecasts.
    • Drive the collaborative forecasting process through category reviews, partnering with Sales, Marketing, Finance and Manufacturing teams to understand demand forecasting drivers.
    • Improve the forecasts accuracy (statistical models, software…)
    • Coordinate customer projects with Operations and Commercialization teams.
    • Communicate the product inventory strategies (high runners, new products, substitutions, end life…) to Operations team.
    • Build on US demand planning process and create a global demand planning process; collaboration meetings, system tools and coordination with Production & Procurement.
    • Drive forecast KPI’s

Capacity Planning

    • Expand capacity planning to include a global view for a rolling 18 months.
    • Anticipating factors that might influence demand, such as seasonal slowdowns or upcoming promotions and develop inventory plans/goals to minimize production fluctuations and not lose needed production capacity during slower months.
    • Manage Inventory levels ensure production is making “right levels at the right time.”
    • Collaborating with operations, production, and other supply chain department team members to ensure an efficient total delivered cost model approach.
    • Drive inventory KPI targets

Production Scheduler

    • Create short and long-term detailed production schedules.
    • Manage multiple simultaneous production schedules.
    • Ensure production teams meet critical deadlines.
    • Optimize production workflow and performance.
    • Partner with production to find areas of improvement.
    • Prioritize production based on customer’s demand and requirements.
    • Monitor and problem solve schedule adherence along with other production KPI’s

Warehouse Associate

OPPORTUNITY

Position: Warehouse Associate

Reports to: Team Captain – Shipping, Nielsen-Massey Vanillas

Location: Remote Capable/Waukegan, Illinois, about 40 miles north of Chicago’s Loop

Position Summary:

The primary role for Warehouse Associate is to prepare orders for shipping and communicate order status.

The primary role for the Warehouse Associate is prepping all outgoing shipments to ensure On Time and In Full (OTIF) is met for all shipments. The role is also focused on accurate counting and record keeping skills withing our ERP.

Key Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

  • Picks and packs all shipment using our ERP and WMS Systems
  • Weigh, Dim, wrap and photograph outgoing shipments.
  • Organize, stock, and replenish for outside vendor shipments.
  • Verifies product information for all orders, including item, BBE and Serial Lot.
  • Monitor Inventory and perform cycle counts when needed.
  • Completing daily vehicle evaluation documentation.
  • Maintain a clean, neat work area to ensure inventory accuracy, order accuracy, and safety.

Small Package Shipping Associate

OPPORTUNITY

Position: Small Package Shipping Associate

Reports to: Team Captain – Shipping, Nielsen-Massey Vanillas

Location: Remote Capable/Waukegan, Illinois, about 40 miles north of Chicago’s Loop

Position Summary:

The primary role for the Shipping Associate is overseeing all outgoing small package shipments to ensure On Time and In Full (OTIF) is met for all shipments. The role is also focused on accurate record keeping and filing of all documentation. This role also provides support to the customer service and accounting teams with disposition regarding shipping issues or financial issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Confirms all Small package shipments have been completed for the day.
  • Uploads Pick Tickets to accounting at the end of each day.
  • Ship and Process orders through ERP (Macola) and WMS (WiSys)
  • Works to solve WMS issues with Billing and Invoicing.
  • Trained on Shipping of Dangerous Goods
  • Pick and pack all orders according to customer requirements.
  • Confirms daily UPS and FedEx shipments.
  • Monitor inventory in small package area and perform cycle counts when needed.
  • Email communication for Customer Service and Accounting departments
  • Provide Freight quotes for small package orders.
  • Provide Customer Service support for Call Tags, Damages, and lost shipments.
  • Maintain a clean, neat work area to ensure inventory accuracy, order accuracy, and safety.

Knowledge and Characteristics:

MUSTS:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
