To Make Dry Mix:
Sift flour and baking powder into a medium bowl, add sugar and salt and stir to combine. Place contents into a 16-ounce wide-mouth sealable jar. Place unsweetened chocolate in a paper cupcake liner, parchment paper or plastic wrap and place on top of dry ingredients. Repeat process with mint wafers and place on top of unsweetened chocolate.

To prepare brownies, you will need:
Preheat oven to 350°F and grease an 8×8-inch baking pan.
Heat butter and chocolate in a medium-sized saucepan over low heat until melted. Remove from heat. Stir in eggs and vanilla. Add dry ingredients to chocolate mixture and stir until smooth. Mix in mint wafers.
Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan. Bake 25-30 minutes, or until brownies begin to pull away from the sides of the pan.

½ cup chocolate chips or nuts can be substituted for the mint wafers for alternate flavor profiles
