Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Cream butter and gradually add 1 cup sugar. Add eggs and continue to beat until light and fluffy. Beat in 1 cup sugar. Add vanilla. Add flour, baking powder and cream; mix well and chill. Roll out quite thin on a lightly floured board and cut with 3-inch cookie cutters. Brush with egg white and sprinkle with sugar (or decorate with other colored sugar or cookie decorations). Bake about 8 minutes. Cookies may also be decorated after baking with colored icing.

Add flour, baking powder and cream; mix well and chill. Roll out quite thin on a lightly floured board and cut with 8 cm cookie cutters. Brush with egg white and sprinkle with sugar (or decorate with other colored sugar or cookie decorations). Bake about 8 minutes. Cookies may also be decorated after baking with colored icing.
