Snazz Up Your Holiday Entertaining with These Sweet Recipes

The holiday season is here and with it comes merriment, high spirits and, our personal favorite, holiday parties! Whether you’re hosting your own gathering or bringing the baked goods to a friend’s soiree, these desserts and drinks are sure to delight throughout the night.

 #1. Hot Chocolate Pumpkin Cake

This recipe deliciously combines two of the most popular flavors of the cool weather seasons – pumpkin and cocoa. While the cake is simple to make, it tastes like you spent tons of time in the kitchen. We bumped up the chocolate taste with Pure Chocolate Extract and mixed in cinnamon and nutmeg for a flavor that’s full of sugar and spice. Make it extra nice by drizzling the top of the bundt cake with marshmallow crème and adding a few mini marshmallows.

#2. Brown Butter Brownies

These decadent, fudge-like brownies will blow any store-bought mix out of the water. Believe us, taking the extra step to brown the butter is worth it – it adds a rich, nutty flavor which is rounded out by a dash of Pure Coffee Extract.

#3. Peppermint-Cocoa Meringue Kisses

Ditch the candy canes for these melt-in-your-mouth peppermint meringue kisses. You’ll get that familiar minty flavor with just a few drops of Pure Peppermint Extract – a little goes a long way!

 #4. Very Vanilla Eggnog

This adult version of a classic holiday drink is sure to bring back nostalgic childhood memories of sitting by the fireplace sipping on eggnog. The star ingredient is Tahitian Pure Vanilla Extract, with fruit-like sweetness that complements the rich flavor of the dark rum and the spice of the nutmeg. If you want to make a kid-friendly version, simply leave out the rum.

#5. Brut-Ally Smooth Champagne Cocktail

Is any get-together complete without some bubbly? This easy-to-make, classy cocktail features our Madagascar Bourbon Pure Vanilla Extract, which adds a hint of sweetness and vanilla that your guests will love. Start by adding a few drops of extract to a champagne flute, along with a crushed sugar cube. Next, pour champagne over the top and garnish with a lemon peel twist for a bright pop of color.
