Lemon Juniper “Gin Sour” Mocktail

Enjoy an intricate, refreshing gin sour without the gin. The homemade juniper syrup mimics the complex botanical flavors of gin, and our Pure Lemon Paste enhances the citrus notes of this spirit-free drink.

Ingredients

Juniper Syrup

  • 7 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 ounce juniper berries, crushed

Mocktail

Directions

Juniper Syrup

Bring water, sugar and crushed juniper berries to a boil in a small pot over medium-high heat. Remove from heat, cover with plastic wrap and let steep for 10 minutes. Strain and cool syrup completely.

Mocktail

Place all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake for 1 minute. Transfer into another shaker without ice and shake for an additional minute.

Strain into a highball glass and garnish with bitters.
