Creamy, tangy, and full of vanilla flavor, this Homemade Vanilla Frozen Yogurt is an easy warm-weather dessert. Made with Greek yogurt and vanilla bean paste, then topped with a simple strawberry vanilla compote sweetened with maple syrup, it's a refreshing treat that's perfect for summer.

Ingredients

For the Frozen Yogurt

  • 12 oz full-fat Greek yogurt
  • 4 oz milk
  • 1 tsp Nielsen-Massey Pure Vanilla Bean Paste
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup

For the Strawberry Compote

  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp Nielsen-Massey Madagascar Bourbon Pure Vanilla Bean Paste
  • Directions

    • Add the frozen yogurt ingredients to the vessel of your preferred electric ice cream maker. Note: This recipe fits into a pint-sized vessel. Stir the ingredients together until well mixed then allow to sit in the freezer for 24 hours.
    • When ready to churn, remove the vessel from the freezer and run under warm water if needed. Churn your frozen yogurt until you reach a soft serve consistency.
    • In the meantime, cook your strawberry compote ingredients over medium heat on the stove until it thickens. Allow it to cool completely.
    • Portion/dispense a serving of frozen yogurt and spoon the strawberry compote over the top to serve.
