Creamy, tangy, and full of vanilla flavor, this Homemade Vanilla Frozen Yogurt is an easy warm-weather dessert. Made with Greek yogurt and vanilla bean paste, then topped with a simple strawberry vanilla compote sweetened with maple syrup, it's a refreshing treat that's perfect for summer.
Ingredients
For the Frozen Yogurt
12 oz full-fat Greek yogurt
4 oz milk
1 tsp Nielsen-Massey Pure Vanilla Bean Paste
1 tbsp maple syrup
For the Strawberry Compote
1 cup frozen strawberries
1 tbsp maple syrup
1 tsp Nielsen-Massey Madagascar Bourbon Pure Vanilla Bean Paste
Directions
Add the frozen yogurt ingredients to the vessel of your preferred electric ice cream maker. Note: This recipe fits into a pint-sized vessel. Stir the ingredients together until well mixed then allow to sit in the freezer for 24 hours.
When ready to churn, remove the vessel from the freezer and run under warm water if needed. Churn your frozen yogurt until you reach a soft serve consistency.
In the meantime, cook your strawberry compote ingredients over medium heat on the stove until it thickens. Allow it to cool completely.
Portion/dispense a serving of frozen yogurt and spoon the strawberry compote over the top to serve.
